How does the custom paper cutting process work?
You share a photo or idea, choose a style, and our artisan sketches a digital preview — usually within 2 business days. One round of refinements is included. Once you approve, the artwork is hand-cut and shipped. You only pay after approving the design.
What makes a good reference photo?
A clear, well-lit photo with the subject's face visible works best — portraits, couples, pets, or scenes. Avoid heavy filters. If you have no photo, describe your idea in the notes and our artisan will sketch from your description.
How long does a custom piece take?
The preview takes about 2 business days. After approval, cutting takes 1–2 weeks for classic single-tone pieces and 2–3 weeks for intricate layered or framed pieces. Shipping then takes 7–14 business days to the US and 10–18 to Europe.
Can I include names, dates, or a message?
Yes — names, wedding dates, short messages, and small text elements can be worked into the composition. The artisan will confirm the best placement in your preview.
Is the paper cutting shipped framed?
Framed Heirloom pieces arrive mounted in a museum-quality frame, ready to hang. Classic and Intricate styles ship flat in rigid, acid-free packaging, ready for framing at home.
